Case Study: How Internet Advertising Lifted One Gainesville Business Above National Competitors
Here at Gainesville Marketing, we are not really into tooting our own horns, per say. As a matter of fact, we have grown so much over Q1 this year that we simply have been too busy to play any instruments, much to my guitar’s dismay no doubt.
However, Herb came across some pretty interesting marketing results the other day while researching for one of our long time clients, Dreyer’s Restoration. You can see the screen shot below:
Local Advertising with a Multi-site SEO Approach
The search was for “water damage Gainesville,” a keyword that we have been focusing a lot of off-page SEO efforts on this entire Q1 of 2011. The fruit of our advertising labor, as evident by the screen-shot, tastes pretty good!
Take notice of the first five organic search listings. Two separate websites dominate those key top listings:
Both sites are owned by our client Dreyer’s Restoration. Not one, or two, but the first FIVE results! The first website is the client's primary site and has been around for many years. The second site is a small advertising site that we built specifically to help the client carve out more of the super important page-one real estate and keep himself a step ahead of his competitors SEO efforts.
Needless to say, our client is dominating this very important keyword for his business and his website traffic metrics back that up - search engine traffic is up a whopping 205.7% over this same time period last year!
Google Places - Vital to Local SEO Success
What’s more is the position of his Google Places listing. Notice how it is in the first slot? This is no coincidence either. We have taken great efforts in optimizing his Places Page Listing as a result of the emphasis Google has placed on local search.
